Leading a walk

Walking with the Stag Walkers

Walk leaders are a vital part of Stag Walkers, which is run entirely by volunteers. Becoming a walk leader is easy and there are several experienced leaders within the group who are always happy to offer help and advice to new leaders.

How do I become a walk leader?

All walk leaders must be paid-up members of The Ramblers and have registered on the Ramblers website (using your membership details). This ensures that you are insured to lead a Ramblers walk.

To lead a Stag Walkers walk you need to complete the details of your walk on the programme spreadsheet.  The information required includes start point, end point, start time, length (miles) and difficulty rating, plus any other relevant details. If you are on our mailing list, details of how to access the spreadsheet will have been emailed to you. If you have lost the link to the spreadsheet please This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. the committee to ask for a reminder.
